Zameer has won a competition held by Canadian Music Week, in conjunction with OurStage.com, that has awarded him a special showcase opportunity at CMW 2008. The single winner was hand picked from more than 1300 applicants - by a combination of both public voting and judging by industry professionals.
Zameer will be performing at Rogers MusicStore Canadian Music Week 2008 (CMW) - at midnight on Friday, March 7, 2008 at the Fairmont Royal York's Library Bar.
Entry to Zameer's performance is free for all CMW attendees. CMW wristbands can be purchased for $35 at all Ticketmaster and TicketBreak outlets (www.ticketmaster.ca or www.ticketbreak.com).

Zameer releases his debut single "Win or Defeat", produced by Steven Thompson. The song is dedicated to Canada's Paralympic Athletes and conveys the message that "achieving success is not about 'win' or 'defeat' as defined by societal perceptions, rather, a true champion is one that finds passion solely in the pursuit of a dream."
Multi Grammy-winning producer Steven Thompson has come on board to work with Zameer. Steve has production and mixing credits on albums such as Guns N' Roses' 'Appetite for Destruction', Metallica's 'And Justice for All', and Korn's 'Follow the Leader'. Thompson has also produced John Lennon, Whitney Houston, Madonna, Soundgarden, Blues Traveler, and the Wu-Tang Clan, won two Diamond awards, and is acknowledged in the sales of over 200 million records worldwide.
